We would like to thank everyone who has previously written about and researched Sir John Clay. We have unmercilessly quoted your work but we have acknowledged it in the index, so I hope you don't mind and hopefully it well sell a few more books.

We would particularly like to thank Anne Curry from the Medieval Soldier Database for helping us with enquiries about Sir John and supplying us with an updated History of Parliament 1422-1461 and thanks of course to Linda Clark and her team for writing it.

The Medieval Soldier Database was our starting point for the idea of launching the website and it was only the linking of our Sir John and the John Clay Esq in their database that prompted us to launch this website.
